Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences and aim at the attainment of well-being and the connection with ourselves. Asanas (postures) make the body stronger and more supple.
As a former high-level triathlete, I was initially attracted to yoga to improve my sporting performance. I quickly felt the benefits of the practice on my body and mind. Because unlike any other physical activity, yoga, through breathing, brings a deeply relaxing energy and well-being. We then feel the connection of the body and the mind as a unity and we build, through regular practice, a deeper awareness of what we are and our connection to those around us.
I have been practicing yoga for 18 years and I have trained as an Ashtanga Yoga Instructor with Mark & Shankara Darby of Sattva Yoga Shala in Montreal in 2010. Since then I have continued to perfect myself in this style with such renowned teachers Than Manju Joïs and Kino McGregor. I also took training in Hatha Yoga with Manu Sharma. I am presently learning the Dr. Bali method with Dr. Maden Bali himself, well respected 93 years old Yoga Master who's method is designed for self-healing.
My teaching style is vinyasa yoga where you first work your body and then reach a deeper level of relaxation. In each course you will experience meditation, pranayama and even Sanskrit singing that I like to add to the relaxation periods. With me, you will find inner balance.
